Well since my first attempt at VCV didn't went well, I tried this song instead on my existing CV voicebank! That's the sound I used to know four years ago! I'll fine tune it soon! Did I also mention I really like Giga's songs?

UPDATE: Here's the completed cover!
Folks, I think we've hit a snag. It appears I have made the same mistake again when I was recording a beta version of Maro's CV bank. Because of this, Maro can't actually hit any notes higher than the 3rd octave. With this development, the VCV voicebank creation is back to square one and will move on to version 0.2a as I will have to re-record all the voice samples. This time in a higher pitch which I have done to remedy the problem in the past.
In the meantime, I'm currently working on a new cover using the CV voicebank and will also continue working on the Arpasing oto. Learning from my oto_ini.txt and oto.ini debacle, Here's how to use the oto file made in UTAU-synth to make it usable in PC UTAU:
And there you go! Step 2 is really important because if you simply rename the file, once you open it up on PC UTAU, you'll have your aliases mojibaked which is not good. Seroiusly, I have no idea what the graph does.. You need to have the latest version of UTAU to see the graph. Honestly, I can't believe how better sounding Maro is now. Yeah, I've re-record everything and I think it's all worth it.
His BETA 2.0 voicebank will be available for download later this month. Currently experimenting with resamplers and flags to make Maro sound better. I'm considering using TIPS. Maro might need the g flag (he sounds kinda weird when the range gets too high). Should I use Y0?
And it seems he still lacks some samples! I might delay his release unfortunately. |
