- The Japanese CV voicebank was slightly updated to include 'CV' in the name to distinguish it from the future VCV and Arpasing releases. I've also included a pre-generated frequency table so you can use Maro immediately upon installation!
- The downloads are now primarily hosted on VocalSynth.Cloud and alternate download links are available via Google Drive and MEGA.
- You will now be able to see regular updates on the development of upcoming voicebanks on the downloads page.
As mentioned last time, Maro will soon have a Japanese VCV and an English Arpasing voicebank! To reflect these developments, some updates were made particularly in the downloads page:
In line with the revival of the VrmL UTAU Project, I am pleased to announce that two new voicebanks are currently in development as of this time as alpha versions. Recording of the samples have been finished will soon undergo the process of being oto'ed.
These voicebanks are an updated Japanese voicebank which was recorded using VCV samples and for the first time, Maro will soon be able to sing in English which was recorded using Arpabet samples (Arpasing).
As this is my first time to develop such voicebanks, it will take some time before it reaches beta development. Luckily, the UTAU community has plenty of resources available which are helpful in learning how create new voicebanks (as well as re-learning those what I had known the last time I used UTAU).
In the meantime, there may also be a possibly that I will introduce updates on the currently available Japanese CV voicebank if need be.
As always, stay tuned for updates!
Four years ago, my last update on the VrmL UTAU Project were about having some works delayed due to a natural calamity, and post-high school and pre-college preps.
Well, four years later, having graduated from college and earning a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting degree, it appears I have suddenly so much time that I don't know how to spend it nowadays (aside from the job hunting and playing three different playthroughs of Persona 3, 4, and 5, all at the same time but I digress)
So with that, I decided to dig through some past projects and lo and behold, I have returned to UTAU and at this time, I am in the process of re-installing the software on my new laptop (my Macbook which I used to work on is long gone) and setting everything else up.
Fortunately, my UTAU-related files, including the songs that I was planning to work on were saved online, and I still have majority of it which means, I can start from where I left four years ago!! Well, that would be easier said and done since I have to refresh myself in using the UTAU software since my knowledge with it has been overwritten with things I have been taking in college.
Meanwhile, in another stoke of luck, It seems my UTAU-related accounts at UtaForum, SoundCloud, and of course Weebly which runs this site remains intact!
So with that, I am officially announcing the resumption of the VrmL UTAU Project! Please stay tuned for new updates!!
